Terms and Conditions

Please note The GK Union Academy is an outdoor pitch training organisation and weather will play a part in our training locations and ability to hold sessions. If The GK Union Academy is required to make alternative arrangements, this information will be shared via email or text. If sessions are cancelled due to weather and no alternative venue can be secured for the session (this can happen during season due to the high demand of limited indoor venues) The GK Union will notify you of intended, make up session dates you agree to attend the booked sessions and understand that The GK Union Academy is not liable for any injuries sustained during sessions. All our coaching staff are highly qualified and provide a safe training environment. However, you may seek a third-party insurance company should you wish. Students or parents/guardians of child must inform the academy of any medical conditions or injuries before participating. The academy reserves the right to refuse participation if the student's health or safety is at risk.

All fees must be paid in full before the first session. Refunds are only available if the student cancels before the start of their first session. All Player Academy and School Program trials are free trials. All trials for the Goalkeeper Academy will incur a fee. Memberships or Subscriptions are used for making payment, meaning you will incur a direct debit from your chosen bank account to pay fees for a subscription-based program that The GK Union Academy runs. This means a fee will be taken from your nominated bank account at the start of each month. Please note, that during the NSW school holidays that certain programs may not run. This means, it is to the student or parent/guardian of the student to attend a session on a different day and time to make sure they complete the minimum number of lessons one has signed up for. Any additional sessions will incur a fee. If the Student does not participate in the Program after having paid all or any portion of the Program Cost, or if the student returns home before completion of the Program, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, no deposits or money paid toward the Program Cost shall be refunded. I understand no portion of any funds that I have paid, either directly or with financial assistance, to participate in the Program will be refunded at any time or for any reason.

Behaviour: Students must behave appropriately and follow the academy's code of conduct. The academy reserves the right to dismiss any student whose behavior is disruptive or disrespectful.

Attendance: Students are expected to attend all sessions that they have signed up for. If a student misses a session, they will not be refunded or offered a makeup session. With a membership, they may attend another lesson that is occurring during that week or month to ensure they have completed their minimum lessons signed up for.

Membership Cancellation: No memberships are allowed to be cancelled by parents at any given moment unless allowed by the owner of the academy Christopher Marques. To cancel a membership, you will need to have proof that you have moved out of the state of NSW, or you or your child has sustained a career ending injury. Any other reason may be refused. The academy reserves the right to terminate a student's enrolment for any reason.

Accident Waiver & Release of Liability

I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING OR ATTENDING THIS ACTIVITY OR EVENT, including and not limited to, any risks that may arise from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by any programs run by The GK Union Academy, or because of their possible liability without fault. I warrant that I am, or my child is in good health and proper physical condition to safely participate in this activity or event and have no known physical or mental conditions that would adversely affect my ability to safely participate in this activity or event. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organisers of any program run by The GK Union Academy as stated above, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity or event. In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this event, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: (A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE The GK Union Academy and its Representatives (meaning an employee, volunteer, agent, officer, contractor or other authorised representatives),from any and all liability for loss, claims, demand, injury or expense, that I, the participants, or you/its attendees, suffers as a result of participation in the activity and or attendance at the The GK Union Academy including my/our traveling to and from this event, due to any cause whatsoever (including negligence) and arising from attending, (B) I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND WILL NOT SUE the entity and/or persons organising this event and waive them from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or event. This includes participation of any hazardous activities. I indemnify The GK Union Academy against any damage suffered by myself, my child/children and next of kin. I acknowledge that I am aware of the activities included in the program and understand the program contains potentially high-risk activities and physical activity of a strenuous nature. The programs are not completely free from risk, there are certain inherent risks which cannot be eliminated, and I knowingly assume all of the inherent risks of the activity. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity or event. I understand that at this event or related activities, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns. The accident waiver and release of liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN UP TO ANY OF THE GK UNION ACADEMY PROGRAMS AT MY OWN FREE WILL AND FOR MY CHILD.

Privacy Notice

The personal information provided on this permission note will be used and disclosed by The GK Union Academy for general administration, communication with parents or caregivers and matters relating to the health, safety and welfare of participants in connection with the participants participation at this event or for any other purpose required or permitted by law. The provision of this information is voluntary, but the participant may not be able to participate if it is not provided. This information will be held securely and disposed of securely when no longer needed. You may correct personal details recorded on the form at any time by contacting the convener. The academy reserves the right to use photos and videos of students for promotional purposes.

Publishing participant information

The GK Union Academy may publish or disclose information about the participant for the purposes of social media and advertising. This information may include participants name, age, information collected during this event, such as photographs, sound and visual recordings of the participant. The communications in which the participants information may be published or disclosed include, but are not limited to:

• Websites of The GK Union Academy

• Social media accounts on networks such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter.

• Local and metropolitan newspapers and magazines and other media outlets

• Football Clubs
